Urgent care is the place to go when you have injured yourself or come down with a nasty illness and you can’t get an immediate appointment with your primary care physician. Urgent cares are usually located in multiple locations throughout the city. Each neighborhood tends to have at least one urgent care within a 10 minute drive. This can be very helpful for unforeseen situations like falling off a ladder and needing stitches, contracting a violent stomach flue overnight, or getting in a minor car crash that gave you whiplash. Whatever the reason is, urgent care centers are there to provide you with medical help.
Most urgent care centers will take all forms of insurance but there are some that only take a select few, so you should call beforehand unless you are able to pay out of pocket at that moment if that is the case.
